A young man visits his mother on a rainy afternoon and finds her surrounded by old cardboard boxes, searching through them for a newspaper article in order to recall the final words of a quotation she cannot complete. As if her life were suspended there, waiting to finish a sentence: “All that remains of intimacy is…”
Soon, the son is drawn into the same endless search. Between dream and reality, the two sink into a universe made of memories, forgotten objects, and thoughts that overflow without control.
In this suspended space between irony and unease, mother and son search for lost words that point to something deeper: what is lost, what remains, what cannot be said. In an everyday made of small, seemingly trivial details, drama emerges in the silence of a contemporary, shared solitude.

Diego Pleuteri (b. 1998, Melzo) trained in Milan within Campo Teatrale, ATIR, and Proxima Res, and studied playwriting at the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi (2019–2021). During his training he worked with Daria Deflorian, Martin Crimp, and Rafael Spregelburd. Madri, written in 2019, received a Special Mention at the 2020 InediTo Prize and was selected in 2022 by Eurodram. He graduated as an actor in 2024 from the Teatro Stabile di Torino Acting School. He collaborated with director Leonardo Lidi as dramaturgy assistant and writer on productions including Misantropo and Come nei giorni migliori.
Alice Sinigaglia (b. 1996, La Spezia) graduated in directing from the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi in 2022. She has worked with SCARTI since 2017. She wrote and directed Domino (Special Mention at Premio Scenario Infanzia 2018) and Il Canto del Bidone (finalist at Premio Scenario 2021). In 2023 she debuted Concerto fetido su quattro zampe with her brother Davide. Since 2021 she has been assistant director to Serena Sinigaglia, collaborating on the graduation production Senza Titolo.
