Talk
Thursday, 2nd July 2026
8:00 PM

DURATION: 30 minutes
ADMISSION: free

La Falena is the journal of theatre criticism and culture of the Teatro Metastasio di Prato.

Issue 02/2025, Theatres Against War, reflects on how theatre can exist and speak about itself in the face of the violence of the present: between images of conflict circulating in the media space and the need to continue speaking about stage, bodies, gazes, and communities.

The new dossier brings together essays, reports, and testimonies from Ukraine to Palestine, from the legacy of Brecht and Genet to the voices of contemporary artists and directors, in order to question the role of theatre in relation to the violence of the present. It also includes numerous sections, reviews, and in-depth analyses of recent performances.

During the event, several editors of the journal will be present, in dialogue with the artistic direction of Pergine Festival.
