The Teatro Stalla – Caution, Construction Area project is closely linked to the Poetics by Matteo Latino, but even more so to the need to process almost ten years after his disappearance the themes and methods of his work, in a continuous dialogue between past and present, memories and rubble. In a very early phase of rediscovery and research Salvagnini/Leccese came across the concept of “REMEMBER”, translated into Italian by Stefano Marchesoni with the word to forget (Ernst Bloch- Walter Benjamin, “Remembering the Future – Writings on Eingedenken”, edited by Stefano Marchesoni). It is not simply a matter of recalling to memory, but of will to feel the present through a need that comes from the past, revealing its unfinished character, therefore open.
IN A NUTSHELL
T/S Caution, Construction Area returns, ten years after the death of Matteo Latino, to the places of his poetics. A project between memory and rubble, where absence dialogues with rediscovered materials. His rhapsodic voice lives again in performance, techno, jumpstyle, slogans, sounds and images.
