LANGUAGE: not spoken

DURATION: 45 minutes

TICKET: €6 single ticket

K(-A-)O is a show for all ages that puts emojis in the center: the funny and colorful smileys we use every day to convey our emotions in messages.

But do we really laugh when we send a laughing smiley?

And if we use the crying one, what face do we really make?

But the real question at the heart of the work is: how can we recover our true feelings?

Through dance and digital technologies, the Japanese choreographer Kenji Shinohe accompanies us through symbols, bodies and feelings, questioning ourselves about how the language of emojis, so present in the lives of the new generations (and not only), can hide, impoverish or simplify our true emotions. A show that puts words aside to address the very current theme of “superficial communication”.

IN A NUTSHELL

K(-A-)O explores through body and technology, the effect of emojis on our ability to express real emotions. A wordless dance that questions the feelings behind the faces.
