It is said that the last memory that remains anchored to the mind, when everything else fades, are songs. The melodies, the sounds, the lyrics that we sang and listened to as children. The memories that resist the passage of time are the music danced to on Sunday afternoons, breaking the rules, disobeying our parents to improvise as dancers. Getting to know each other, sweating together, maybe kissing, and returning home before sunset without being discovered.
BumBumFritz recorded these melodies, sampled the stories, transcribed them, elaborated them and intertwined them with electronic music, putting them in dialogue with the present. A way to explore how the memory of the past can offer new keys to reading the present.
How have we changed in the last hundred years? What are we still capable of remembering?
The guests of the old folks homes of Pergine Valsugana, Borgo Valsugana and Trento have entrusted BumBumFritz with their thoughts and memories, faded treasure chests that have remained closed for too long. Are you ready to dance?

BumBumFritz is an artistic duo composed of Giovanni Frison, composer and musician, and Michele Tonicello, actor and director, who combines live electronic music with recited texts.
Straight speaker, strobe lights, audio cassettes, cathode ray tubes, sounds, bodies, words, memories, musical recordings, theatrical concerts.
They made their debut in 2022 with the musical album Lasciate un messaggio dopo il segnale acustica (beep) performing on stages all over Italy. In 2025 they debuted with their new show Dentifricio.
