The Black’s Tales Tour: Licia Lanera opens the preview of Pergine Festival 2026

Classic fairy tales rewritten in a dark key, electronic music and bold theatre in an experience suspended between dream and reality: the preview of Pergine Festival 2026 will take place on April 14.

Human Geographies, the theme of Pergine Festival 2026, won’t wait for summer.

This year, the festival anticipates its encounter with the audience with a special preview on April 14, 2026. A meaningful occasion to gather again and offer those present an exclusive glimpse of the upcoming summer programme.

The preview will be headlined by Licia Lanera, an Italian actress, director and playwright from Bari. Founder of the Licia Lanera Company. Since 2006, she has been creating and performing works that blend experimental theatre and prose, earning major national recognitions, including the Ubu Prize.  She will bring The Black’s Tales Tour to the stage of Teatro di Pergine.

The Black’s Tales Tour revisits five classic fairy tales, rewriting them in a dark tone: stories of obsessions, failures and hidden desires, accompanied by live electronic music. With her sharp, underground style, Licia Lanera leads the audience into a dimension suspended between dream and reality, between nightmares and insomnia, creating an intense and unsettling theatrical experience.

Pergine Festival’s preview takes place within the framework of Festival Bellandi, curated by Chiara Benedetti, which will take place from April 14 to 26. The title of this edition is “Ritual Forms.”

The Pergine Festival preview thus becomes part of Festival Bellandi’s programme, creating a concrete connection between the two events: a synergy that strengthens the dialogue between the local cultural organizations Pergine Spettacolo Aperto and ariaTeatro.
