The 51st edition of Pergine Festival comes to an end, the fourth under the artistic direction of Babilonia Teatri, Valeria Raimondi and Enrico Castellani. Dedicated to “Human Geographies”, the Festival brought theatre, music, dance, circus and performance to 15 venues across the area from 27 June to 11 July.
“After last year’s celebration for the 50th anniversary of Pergine Festival, this summer we created a festival that placed relationships and communities at its centre, creating opportunities for exchange and sharing. We are very satisfied and happy, full of emotions and filled with new thoughts, as well as with a warmth that embraces and inspires us.”
State Valeria Raimondi and Enrico Castellani, highlighting the vision behind an edition built around encounters between people, places and artistic languages.
“This edition of Pergine Festival was about meeting one another, walking together, and looking upwards: towards a bell tower from which the voice of poetry could be heard, towards the sky crossed by kites. A festival that gave voice to new generations and their view of the world, that hosted widely appealing events and created many opportunities where performances became moments of intimate social connection, breaking the rhythm and frenzy of everyday life.”
The Festival involved around 150 artists with more than 50 events, including performances, concerts and meetings. Over 3.000 tickets were sold for paid shows, while free events recorded more than 8.000 attendees. Seven events were sold out and 66% of the audience were returning visitors, confirming the growing connection between the public and the Festival.
The 51st edition featured some of the most interesting names on the national and international scene, from Sabina Guzzanti to Banda Osiris, from Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti to Roberto Latini, as well as Rimini Protokoll and Silvia Gribaudi, alongside projects dedicated to new generations of artists.
With “Human Geographies”, Pergine Festival 2026 confirms its identity as an open, participatory and widespread festival, capable of transforming the territory into a space for relationships, encounters and shared experiences.
