Electric Rastrello is a duo formed by Mattia Benuzzi and the multi-instrumentalist Luciano Turella (formerly with Appaloosa, Delay Lama, Tout Bleu, Tubax, Irtumbranda and session musician for Motta, Nada, Giovanni Truppi). Together they have forged a hybrid sound mix: dynamic and fluid like the best electronic music, but at the same time characterized by a purely rock physicality. Between incessant drum grooves, out-of-control arpeggiators, monolithic basses and perverse samplings, the two mercilessly grind techno, industrial and funk, giving birth to an electro-pop capable of challenging even the most extremist dancefloors. “The Coolest Summer of Your Entire Life”, their first album co-produced by UR Suoni (Italy) and Copypast Editions (Switzerland) is a sort of concept, inspired by current events.
