A Midsummer Night’s Dream returns to the stage in a new reinterpretation by Babilonia Teatri, capable of combining the enchantment of Shakespeare’s text with a contemporary, comic and at the same time poetic vision.
The show is divided into two distinct acts. At the center, the eternal dance between love, desire and deception, intertwined by a contagious madness.
This first act is titled –Bottom/Cupido/Puck–.
The protagonists are the actors and actresses of the Compagnia Teatrale Regionale 2025, a three-year project that enhances the professional talent of Trentino-Alto Adige through dialogue with artists from the national and international scene.

Babylon Theatre was founded in 2005 by Valeria Raimondi and Enrico Castellani. Known for its distinctive language, often described as a mix of pop, rock and punk, the company has established itself in the contemporary theatre scene thanks to incisive dramaturgies that address the contradictions of today’s society with an irreverent and provocative style. Over the years, Babilonia Teatri has received numerous awards, including the Scenario Prize, two Ubu Prizes and the Silver Lion at the Venice Theatre Biennale.
The Regional theatre company is a three-year project dedicated to professional actors and actresses from Trentino-Alto Adige. The initiative, supported by the Trentino-Alto Adige Region and promoted by the Teatro Stabile di Bolzano in collaboration with the Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara di Trento and the Coordinamento Trentino, was created to enhance the artistic resources of the territory through the comparison with internationally renowned artists. The Regional Theatre Company is a project destined to have a continuous and progressive evolution over the three-year period: each edition will give the members of the company the opportunity to collaborate with internationally renowned artists in the creation of a theatrical production. The protagonists of the Company for 2025, selected by Babilonia Teatri, are all under 35: Maria Vittoria Barrella, Salvatore Cutrì, Serena Decarli, Sebastiano Kiniger, Gabriele Matté, Martina Montini, Maria Giulia Scarcella, Paolo Tosin and Andrea Zani.
