How do you reappropriate public space? How do you look away from your smartphone or you get up from your armchairs and go out and understand what surrounds you? How do you encourage people to pause, watch, talk and exchange greetings or stories? How do you bring the Festival to the streets and reconnect it to the city of Pergine?
The architects at Quasark675 tried to respond to these questions by creating an object that could focus our attention and characterize a space: an object that becomes a node of energy in order for the audience to pause, play, interact and try to gain awareness of the place where they are.
Micù is an interactive installation that will surprise the passersby in the streets of Pergine with periscopes, mirrors, cordless telephones, inviting them to look at each other, listen to each other, and then shift their attention to the urban space, the people, the details.
The audience starts the game listening to their voice and finding themselves waiting for someone to answer on the other side of a pipe, getting closer to see their own image and finding themselves reflected perhaps in the image of another person. 

Micù is useless, because it does what we could do every day just by looking up, discovering places, talking to people: it is a “useless machine for urban awareness” and therefore very useful!
