In between projections of simultaneous chats, poems, dance and multimedia, this is an ironic and unsettling reflection on the Internet and on our hyper-connected society.
Sergio Garau and Francesca Gironi, performers in the context of Italian and international poetry slam, collaborate together in a poetry performance which is ironic, bitter, fun, explosive, which makes use of dance, musical videos and it is hyper-connected. In this performance, interaction becomes possible in being close and in proximity, in moments of exchange and in translation, in dialogue and in facing obstacles.
Sergio Garau explores the living places of the daily writing of chats, text messages, online auctions, videogames and electronic agendas, playing on collective identity crises, while Francesca Gironi writes poems dedicated to Enel and the apartment building manager and transforms Trenitalia ads into a loving speech.
The audience becomes almost co-author of a textual script that evokes surreal worlds, accompanied by dance that expands and distorts the meaning of terms. Gestures are inspired by the underwater signals, by the instructions of the flight attendants, by sign language, by a silent alphabet. CTRL Zeta is a poetry performance which employs the language of gestures to contradict and confuse our collective identity crisis, with the aim of performing poems with the body.
