UBU 2022 AWARD FOR THE BEST NEW FOREIGN TEXT/DRAMATIC WRITING

Con la carabina is a lucid and unbiased text that flees from the idea of dividing the world into good and bad, but analyzes the cultural and anthropological mechanisms that trigger certain violent behaviors. This analysis, together with a lively and fascinating writing, are the elements that led the impetuous talent of Licia Lanera and her Company to put it on stage. A compelling and claustrophobic noir, in which the two lead actors/servants become sometimes teenagers and sometimes adults to evoke through words and a few scenic elements, the dynamics of an atrocious story.
