Richard Charles Rodgers (New York, June 28, 1902 – New York, December 30, 1979) was an American musician, composer and lyricist. He published nearly thousand songs and wrote the music for dozens of Broadway musicals, and started a long and prolific artistic collaboration with Lorenz Hart. The Rodgers & Hart couple launches songs that have become jazz classics, including Blue Moon, Isn’t it romantic?, My Romance, Little Girl Blue, There’s a Small Hotel, Where Or When, My Funny Valentine, The Lady Is a Tramp and Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered.
