2020 CHILDHOOD SCENARIO AWARD

Arturo is an occurrence, an encounter: it stems from a personal and autobiographical story. It investigates the relationship with the father and with the loss of the father. It transforms an autobiography into a creative act with the intention of making it a collective and universal private memory, inviting viewers not only to be witnesses, but to participate.

What is the relationship with fathers and what remains upon their passing?

We met two fathers, facing each other, through the memories of their children. In the simplicity of telling I touched affection and anger. We came to terms with loss. With what has been left to us and with what we cannot get rid of.
