Dante Antonelli: the best candidate of the Festival
The performance Fäk Fek Fik The Three Young Women – Werner Schwab, winner of Best Performance Prize and Best Dramaturgy Prize at the Roma Fringe Festival 2015, directed by Dante Antonelli, has been selected by our committee over hundreds of other artistic projects. As every year, the artistic committee evaluated and chose the best project among hundreds of candidates’ proposals, which were sent via the specific alternative channel.
FÄK FEK FIK is a performance for three actresses, a radical re-writing of Die Präsidentinnen (First Ladies) by Werner Schwab. The performance starts where Schwab’s show ends, staging what the Austrian playwright has never written. On the empty stage the three young women , tell something about themselves and about the time they are living in: the prospective of maternity, the relationship with their parents, work difficulties, the little and ordinary economic dramas and the desperate pursuit of impossible and idealized love, which is born and dies during one night at the discotheque.
