The winners of the call “OPEN///CONTEMPORARY [URBAN] CREATION 2019”

Elisabetta Consonni/POLIPO, Berlin, Nevada and Yao Liao are the winners of the OPEN ///CONTEMPORARY [URBAN] CREATION call, which since 2012 supports artists working in the field of experimentation and research of new artistic contemporary languages.

The winning projects of the 8th edition of the call employ a wide variety of artistic expressions: the focus is the urban space, the redefinition and reuse of city spaces, but also unprecedented approaches to involve the community for a relationship between spaces and citizens, pass through the prism of art.

The commission, composed by Alessandro Cattunar (In/Visible Cities), Carla Esperanza Tommasini (Pergine Festival), Chiara Organtini (Indisciplinarte/Terni Festival), Michela Giovannelli (Dello Scompiglio), Valentina Kastlunger e Valentina Picariello (Zona K) has examined the over 400 proposals from all over the world, selecting three projects: one new production and two presentations.
